The spectra fitting procedure takes three passes over the spectra for π± (2 for K±, p and p). We can subtract the e and K contamination for π±, we want to constrain the means (using aligned BichselI70m values), the sigmas, and some amplitudes (in regions of complete overlap).
- First Pass
- Second Pass
- Fix means using Calibrated Bichsel(I70m) values vs. centrality.
- sigmas using mean nfitpoints and fitpoint dependence
of means
- and electron amplitude from first pass to determine Kaon amplitude fit.
AK = xa exp ( b + c xd ) - Third Pass
- Fix all μ
- Fix all σ
- Fix e and K amplitudes (Only in regions of complete overlap)
- Extract pion yields
