- CMS wins the Breakthrough Prize! Manuel Calderon, Saeahram Yoo, Heather Folsom and other previous NPG graduate students were among the 13,000 LHC scientists awarded the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics. The $3 million prize will be split among the four major LHC experiments. - Mathias Labonte given the STAR early career award! NPG Ph.D. Candidate Mathias Labonte has won the STAR early career award for his "extensive investigations into track reconstruction in the fixed target data that ultimately led to the discovery of TPC misalignment issues".
- In the press! Zach Sweger's recent paper about how "not" to measure a QCD criticial point was featured in a recent news article:
