Graduate Work

I have just joined the Heavy Ion Group and I am still getting my feet wet. My plan is to study the Upsilon Meson (along with excited states) in the upcoming lead-proton run at the LHC under the guidance of Professor Manuel Calderón de la Barca Sánchez.

Undergraduate Work

As an undergrad my research was focused on Condensed Matter Physics. I worked in Professor Kai Liu's lab doing nano-wire and thin film growth.

I specifically worked on the Electrochemical deposition of magnetic/metallic nano-wires, Thin film growth on Si-subtrates using UHV magnetron sputtering, and X-ray Diffraction of samples for characterization.

I also developed a system to monitor chemical etching of tracked polycarbonate membranes for future Nanowire-network growth. This is now being pursued by another Student here. This is specifically interesting for use in plasma targets as well as having interesting electrical properties.
