LANL Reminder

To get a postscript file onto your computer, use the search engine at the site to display the search result for the desired document (I've had the best results with author searches)...

You will be given several options for a given paper (abs, src, ps, other). Click on "ps"...

This should give you the option to download a file which is named after the number of the document (e.g. 9706486). This file needs to be renamed with a ".gz" suffix (e.g. after downloading type "cp myfile myfile.gz")...

Type "gunzip myfile.gz" which will create a postscript file called "myfile" (no ".ps")...

For your own records, you may want to call this file "myfile.ps"...

See the LANL site itself for more options and details, but this page is ment as a quick-and-dirty reminder (mostly for myself)...
