Accelerations from an x(t) function, a v(t) function,
an x-t graph or a v-t graph
Average acceleration involves two
points in velocity and two points in time.
Graphically, it is the slope
between two points on an v-t graph
“Driving straight ahead from a stoplight
I went from 0 to 40m/s in 10 seconds,
what is my average acceleration?”
(answer => straight ahead @ 4m/s2)
Again, no moment to moment details about how
(e.g. cars do not generally have a constant acceleration)
