For a certain class of problems in physics the ultimate goal is to

figure out the position of an object as a function of time

given the forces acting on that object

This is sometimes known as “obtaining the equations of motion”

But for now, let’s assume we somehow

know the position as a function of time either

mathematically or graphically (or both)

What can we learn from this?
