If there are several forces acting on an object over some
distance, you can calculate the contributions to the
work done by each force on the object
What does a positive work mean?
If “work of A on B” is negative
that means A is removing energy from B
(Or B is adding energy to A)
If “work of A on B” is positive, A is adding energy to B
Work is best thought of as a transfer of energy from
one energy system to another
