Dear Raimond, We have just started using the starprod/pDST/P01he files for our spectra analysis, and we are comparing them to the starspec/pDST/P00hm/central files. We have noticed some discrepancies mainly to do with the Dedx calibration, about a factor 1.72 larger. As you mentioned in a recent e-mail, the latest files are incomplete in the sense that the pid probabilities are not available yet (due presumibly to the above mentioned new values of dEdx) So, the questions to you are: 1) Do you (or someone) expect to generate new files soon to replace the present ones? 2) Do you expect changes in dEdx for year 2000, so we can go ahead and use the present set to calibrate dEdx for the near future? 3) The starprod/pDST/P01he/central files seem to have no vertex cut, while the starspec/pDST/P00hm/central dsts have a z vertex cut abs(VertexZ)<80. Does that cut come from picoflow or from the production files? Thanks in advance, Juan Romero UC Davis
