The efficiency of the TPC/Tracking was corrected for with a matrix as
explained in Draper's e-mail
17July2000.
The first plot that he talks about is the
test of the correction to the spectrum. The correction is tested by
running the corrected spectrum through the matrix and comparing to the
measured spectrum. The black bars show the region used for the fits, and
one can see that they are rather flat in the fitted region.

The next plot shows the result of
operating the matrix on the Siemens and Rasmussen fit to the data compared
to the measured spectra. Again this is rather flat with some fluctuation.

The next plot shows the effect of
a
20% change in the expansion velocity. This plot is generated the same way
a the previous plot except that the expansion velocity is increased by
20%. One can see that the measured spectra (which are compared
to) are not consistent with a 20% change in beta. This confirms that the
efficiency corrections are not producing an artifact. This exercise is
also done with a 20% change in
temperature.
