Versions of the Paper

DRAFT 1 (24-August-2001)
This is the first version of the paper sent to the collaboration.

DRAFT 2 (22-October-2001)
THIS IS THE LATEST VERSION OF THE PAPER.

SUBMITTED (09-November-2001)
This is the version submitted to PRL after the following changes were made:
  • Removed section headings for PRL style
  • Reformatted the table into PRL style
  • Changed "eta" to the Greek letter on page 3
  • Added Chris' suggestion to the parenthetical where we quote the beam energies: "after correction for energy loss before the target:"
  • Removed part of the intro which starts "In this letter we present proton... ...[1] which includes longitudinal flow." in the first full paragraph of page 2

  • LOS ALAMOS PREPRINT (09-November-2001)
This is the same version as what was submitted to PRL, only it is in single column, preprint format. (Except that the server complained about our wasting paper with the doublespacing so we followed its suggestion of adding "\tightenlines" to the tex file before generating the postscript.)

Comments on the paper (sent to the E895 list).

    Chris Pinkenbury (7-Sep-2001)
    Dave Krofcheck (7-Sep-2001)

In addition we have received some private e-mails and a fax from Gulshan.
