PRACTICES: Practices are important, this is where the boys are
expected to learn new skills and strategies for soccer. Please be on time.
And please come with proper shoes and shin guards. Every child should
also bring a water bottle - it get hot! AYSO rules require that
at least two adults be present at every practice - they do not both need
to be on the field of play, but there have to be at least two adults on
hand.
Rain Delays: I will call the AYSO line and then call the team.
GAMES: There are several important gameday rules...
Only POSITIVE fan support for the team
Only Positive support for the referees
All fans must remain at least 3 yards back from the
touch line at all times. This is to avoid interference
with live play and to avoid obstructing the Assistant
referee.
Arrive at games prepared to play at least 30 minutes
before the start time. ESPECIALLY if you are setting
up the field.
Proper equipment means soccer (or tennis) shoes, shin
guards completely covered by the team socks. Jerseys
tucked into the shorts. NO JEWELRY. Fingernails trimmed.
Please bring any critisms about coaching, refereeing,
sportmanship of players to me privately either in person,
by phone or by email.
VOLUNTEERING: AYSO is all volunteer. Not only is it done all by
volunteers, but all are expected to volunteer.
